For over 35 years, HiFonics has stood for EXTREME performance and superlatives. Everyone knows: HiFonics stands for strength, power, and plenty of pressure. To complement the new "ÜBER" power amplifiers from the ZEUS EXTREME ZXT series with up to 13,000 watts RMS, the matching ZEUS EXTREME ZXT subwoofers are now being added to the range. Particularly striking is the triple magnet, which is equally large in all woofers and protected by a blue boot, whose generous ferrite rings alone weigh a proud 8.5 kg even without the chrome-plated steel pole plates.

The newly developed "Reinforced-Structure-Array" surrounds for the ZXT woofers, reinforced with vertical elements, also hint at how much excursion the carbon-reinforced diaphragms can deliver. They remain rock-solid and, thanks to the triple sandwich construction, are even comparatively light. To ensure that the diaphragms can deliver this excursion optimally, they are guided like on rails by triple-layered Nomex spiders. This ensures that the diaphragms do not bind even at extreme power levels.

The Zeus subwoofers are also excellently equipped thermally: The 10-inch woofer already features 76 mm voice coils, while the 12-inch model even has gigantic 100 mm voice coils. With an incredible 58 mm winding height, the diaphragms can thus achieve a linear excursion of +/- 23 mm. The voice coil is made of special pi-CCAR flat wire, which is a flat aluminum wire with a copper coating that saves weight and is also heat-resistant up to 240 degrees. All in all, ingredients that impressively demonstrate the exceptional quality of the woofers. Anyone looking for ultimate SPL woofers cannot get past the ZEUS EXTREME ZXT series.
