The new MG subwoofers fit perfectly into this philosophy, revealing what they have inside at first glance. Once the beautiful packaging is opened, the sturdy grille immediately catches the eye. The search for suitable protection is unnecessary, as it is already included. The visual highlight of every MG woofer, however, is undeniably the newly designed, elegantly crafted cast aluminum basket with its delicate struts and large ventilation windows behind the spider. The professional already suspects that the woofers equipped with dual magnets will confidently produce every type of bass perfectly.

Not only does the first glance impress, but the technology in detail is also impressive: All woofers feature a particularly long and uniform diaphragm excursion. For the MG12, this is up to +/- 22 mm, i.e., a total excursion of a proud 44 mm is possible! This enormous displacement is controlled by specially shaped polycotton dual spiders, whose properties have been continuously optimized by the Musway sound engineers in laboratory and sound tests. The use of copper-clad aluminum voice coils (CCAW) also allowed the moving mass (Mms) to be kept low. All these measures result in very favorable Thiele/Small parameters, so that the subwoofers are also very suitable for sealed enclosures. Here, the MG10 stands out in particular, which plays deep and clean down to 43 Hz (-3 dB) in 25-liter box volumes. Anyone who places great importance on high impulse dispersion and clarity should choose this version.

Anyone who likes it fuller "downstairs" should choose bass reflex constructions. Due to their design, by utilizing the air inside the enclosure with a specially tuned reflex channel, they can produce even more deep bass. Here, all three woofers unfold their potential and are effortlessly able to play down to below 30 Hz.
