To ensure that the diaphragms can deliver this excursion optimally, they are guided like on rails by triple-layered Nomex spiders. The voice coil is made of special pi-CCAR flat wire, which is a flat aluminum wire with a copper coating that saves weight and is also heat-resistant up to 240 degrees.
