musway-mg6-2c
Musway MG6.2C

Discerning music lovers are increasingly choosing MUSWAY products. The amplifiers, with or without integrated DSP, are particularly well suited to the highest demands. With the new High End MG speaker, MUSWAY is now opening another chapter for award-winning products, this time in the field of speakers. One thing is clear from the outset: the MG6.3A was immediately and brilliantly named “BEST PRODUCT” in the specialist magazine Car & Hifi 06/2021. The editorial team was particularly impressed by the exceptionally low distortion of the speakers, which “are among the cleanest of recent years.”

The 16.5 cm mid-woofer is already a real eye-catcher. With very narrow struts, the high-quality aluminum basket ensures optimal ventilation behind the center. A beautifully machined and nickel-plated T-plate additionally ventilates the voice coil through several ventilation holes, making overheating almost impossible. This allows the door speaker to reproduce high levels distortion-free over extended periods. The high level is achieved, among other things, by a voice coil with a winding height of 13.4 mm, which ensures a large linear excursion of the diaphragm. The exceptionally large, 13.7-ounce magnet drive of Y30 quality is protected by a rubber boot.

Another technical HIGHLIGHT is the very complex sandwich diaphragm. In this case, this means that the top layer of ultra-thin aluminum is “bonded” to the layer beneath it, which in turn consists of lightweight paper. This achieves very efficient damping. The result is a linear frequency response up to 5000 Hz without peaks.

One of the best tweeters on the market is the MG6.2T. Equipped with a 26 mm silk dome and coupling volume, the tweeter can not only be used below 2000 Hz, but also plays very linearly up to over 25,000 Hz. For its excellent performance, it earned the extremely rare grade of 1+ in the “Distortion” category in the test (C&H 6/2021).

The small, very easy-to-install 7.5 cm midrange speaker with a neodymium magnet and fixed solid aluminum phase plug also looks extremely elegant. Unbelievable: It can be used from 200 Hz to over 18 kHz. With these specifications, it can even be used as a full-range driver that works well even without a tweeter. A real highlight.

MG6.2W (Pair)

16.5 cm (6.5") mid-woofer

RMS power handling 125 watts

Max. power handling 250 watts

Impedance 4 ohms

Frequency response 39 - 5000 Hz

Aluminum-paper composite diaphragm

Mounting depth 67 mm

Mounting hole Ø 143 mm

Outer diameter Ø 166 mm

MG6.2T (Pair)

26 mm (1.1“) tweeter

RMS power handling 125 watts

Max. power handling 250 watts

Impedance 4 ohms

Frequency response 2200 - 30000 Hz

Fabric diaphragm

Mounting depth 19.5 mm

Mounting hole Ø 44 mm

Outer diameter Ø 49 mm

MG2X (Pair)

2-way crossover

RMS power handling 125 watts

Max. power handling 250 watts

Crossover frequency 2800 Hz

5-stage tweeter level adjustment

Width 85 mm

Height 40 mm

Length 145 mm

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1084/3242/5291/files/ddf15abc-cb8262_2a29c9682072472e87248651024e5abe_mv2.webp?v=1791402960
