Product Information
The new VMX601DAB Moniceiver brings modern infotainment to vehicles with a classic 1-DIN radio slot. Especially with many youngtimers and classics from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, such as the VW Golf I–III, BMW E30/E36, Mercedes 190, Porsche 911 (up to 993), and many more, installing modern infotainment systems is often difficult simply because there is no space for a larger 2-DIN device. This is exactly where the VMX601DAB plays to its strengths: It fits into the classic 1-DIN radio slot and yet offers a generous 6.3-inch touchscreen with a rotary controller as well as state-of-the-art multimedia technology. With DAB+ digital radio, Bluetooth® hands-free calling, and audio streaming, the Moniceiver offers a level of equipment that you would hardly expect in this compact installation format.
One of the special strengths of the VMX601DAB is the wireless smartphone connection via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. The familiar smartphone interfaces are displayed clearly on the 6.3-inch display and can be operated conveniently and intuitively. In the compact 1-DIN format, the VMX601DAB offers an impressively extensive range of features. In addition to DAB+ digital radio and Bluetooth®, USB ports with charging function, preamplifier outputs, audio/video inputs, and connections for front and rear-view cameras are available. The modern Linux operating system ensures fast response times and high stability. Convenient: Even while navigating with Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™, DAB+ radio can still be listened to or music played back via USB.
