ESX VX10PRO

Powerful and imposing are the attributes of the new ESX VISION VX PRO beasts, whose weight already signals right out of the box what class they play in. The subs come in 10, 12, and 15-inch sizes. With power ratings of 2,500 to 3,500 watts RMS, they also demand corresponding amplifiers. These can be found in the also new VISION VX PRO amplifier series with power ratings of 1,250 up to 13,000 watts RMS.

Only the highest quality ingredients found their way into the newly designed VX PRO models. All are built with heavy die-cast aluminum baskets and triple magnets. Absolutely shape-stable diaphragms are very important for woofers of this caliber. ESX therefore uses the best, but also among the most expensive, 3-layer composite diaphragms made of carbon, hardened cotton, and fiberglass. The combination results in the highest stability while maintaining the lowest possible weight, thus withstanding the enormous pressure generated by the powerful 300-ounce magnet drives. In addition, the construction is stabilized by a carbon dust cap.

To be able to handle a lot of power as well, ESX makes no compromises when it comes to the voice coils, using a 76 mm CCAR coil in the 10" model, while the two larger models use 100 mm coils. CCAR coils are made of flat aluminum wire with a copper coating, a highly resilient combination that also saves weight and thus increases efficiency. The generous winding height of 58 mm in all models allows for a linear diaphragm excursion of up to +/- 23 mm. Excellent!
