Our SXX.v2 Beasts represent a kind of AMG level within the EXCURSION family and unleash their Formula One genes as soon as the gate is left open and they are let onto the track. Nothing from the previous series was carried over into the new SXX.v2 design. Every smallest detail was fundamentally reconsidered and replaced. The SXX.v2 directive was a strict commitment to the highest standards and the ambitious goal of moving up a performance class. Staying on the track and setting new standards at the same or lower cost than before. This is how every register was pulled with our international partners on the SXX.v2 project.

SXX.v2 opens a new chapter, first with the very rare luxury of having different drivers within your series. The 12" and 15" each feature their own specially tuned motors and "gearboxes" relative to their moving masses, and unlike what is customary for cost and volume reasons, different sized diaphragms were not mated together, thus avoiding compromises.

If you compare the SXX.v2 15" with its predecessor, the motor has increased by 25% and its power by well over 40%. This means the new SXX.v2 already achieves 80% of the XXX magnet power and can qualify itself for more demanding coil classes in this new power class. This has resulted in AMG literally borrowing from Formula One, and AMG significantly upgrading its genes with MXT voice coils from the SXX.v2. This black wolf in sheep's clothing means 50% more coil winding height compared to a lighter and vented aluminum carrier. This results in 40% more X-Max within the 8-hole vented voice coil gap.

The SXX.v2 with 40% more power and X-Max forced us to upgrade the spring and suspension system to AMG level. New HDR foam surrounds (70:5 press @ High Roll) find the ideal middle ground between the different worlds of EXCURSION XXX and MXT. Hand-sewn with red thread to the indestructible, powerful High Pulp membranes, they make a promise to hold under all circumstances. With blood-red stitching and centering, we are pleased to have found a new style element in the deep black hammer-finish of the SXX.v2. Visible stitching reduces the size of our inverse dust caps while providing more depth and surface area, where the vented intermediate chamber preserves the popular sound character for which our XENON Beast is known. In contrast to the aluminum die-cast ring known from the MXT series and laser-etched with 4 logos, the requirement was set to create the right frame and identity for the newly defined SXX.v2 AMG level. Therefore, after careful research and necessary modifications, we are very pleased to be able to present a kind of 6-clawed dragon as a fitting outfit for the new SXX.v2 generation of the EXCURSION brand. With an enlarged 8.5-inch centering mount and matching mounting ring, the new SXX.v2 baskets offer the perfect mount for our new blood-red linear dual centers with the highest precision in processing. The double-sided woven and equally double-executed 12GA cable lead ends at EXCURSION Military standard 8GA power/speaker terminals that are up to all tensions with their grub screws and in design consider an optional expansion with an 8GA dual terminal (HPST8 - Hollywood ENERGETIC).

SXX.v2 continues a tradition of its own class in subwoofers and Today we are proud to be able to introduce this new generation to you.
