For over 35 years, HiFonics has stood for EXTREME performance and superlatives. Everyone knows: HiFonics stands for strength, power, and plenty of pressure. To complement the new "ÜBER" power amplifiers from the ZEUS EXTREME ZXT series with up to 13,000 watts RMS, the matching ZEUS EXTREME ZXT subwoofers are now being added to the range. Particularly striking is the triple magnet, which is the same size in all woofers and protected by a blue boot; its generous ferrite rings alone weigh a proud 8.5 kg, even without the chrome-plated steel pole plates.

The newly developed "Reinforced-Structure-Array" surrounds for the ZXT woofers, reinforced with vertical elements, also hint at how much excursion the carbon-reinforced cones can deliver. They remain rock-solid and, thanks to the triple sandwich construction, are even relatively lightweight. To ensure that the cones can deliver this excursion optimally, they are guided like rails by triple-layered Nomex spiders. This ensures that the cones do not tilt even at extreme power levels.

The Zeus subwoofers are also perfectly equipped thermally: The 10-inch woofer already features a 76 mm voice coil, while the 12-inch model even has a gigantic 100 mm voice coil. With an incredible winding height of 58 mm, the cones can deliver a linear excursion of +/- 23 mm. The voice coil is made of special pi-CCAR flat wire, which is flat aluminum wire with a copper coating that saves weight and is also heat-resistant up to 240 degrees. All in all, these are ingredients that impressively demonstrate the exceptional quality of the woofers. Anyone looking for ultimate high-output woofers cannot overlook the ZEUS EXTREME ZXT series.
